Another Storm…another Project

The second big storm of the winter is upon us, coming in tonight or early tomorrow morning. Before you think that I write only when there’s a storm to talk about, that’s not quite it. But it has been several days since I wrote last, and a storm IS coming, and it’s just such a natural thing to want to cozy up to the fire and make something beautiful. Plus, I’ve just received my first commission to create another art book (altered book). I’ve been commissioned to do several quilts in the past, but this will be my first art book. First commission, not first book. So I’m on a high and ready to tackle the job. I’ve gathered the necessary supplies and the work space has been cleared off, but first I must leave for a while and play with the little ones. There’ll be some reading, some dinosaur play for sure, definitely some running around the house, and whatever else we come up with. Later on this evening, I’ll be back to start my project.
